Steaming along with 4710

Today the Northern National Restoration Group headed to the 2023 Chester LE Street Steam and Vintage Fair at Lambton Estate. 

The event organised by Andy and Geln has taken place for a numerous amount of years now. As always a cracking turn out of vintage traction engines, road rollers, as well as military vehicles, commercial vehicles and tractor, bikes and so much more! A great day out for the family. 

The Northern National Restoration Group headed down with Leyland National MK2, FTN710W, 4710, a former Philidelphia vehicle so very local to home. Sitting with many wagons and commercial vehicles it was a very beautiful moment to experience, the smell of steam, the sound of traction engines was something we've never experienced with 4710, looking out the front window and passing vintage vehicles and road steam engines was a surreal moment. 

A trip to the arena, a moment of fame on the microphone was an experience, photos been taken and people discussing school and college days when they traveled on 4710 to school was a highlight of the day.
